About the role
You will own the strategic oversight of outsourcing arrangements and third-party risk management initiatives that underpin our financial infrastructure platform. You will act as the primary liaison between regulatory compliance and business operations, ensuring that outsourced services meet evolving standards. The role requires you to own the performance measurement and governance of critical third-party providers. You will coordinate risk assessments and remediation plans to maintain a resilient operational environment. You will translate complex regulatory expectations into practical controls for day-to-day execution. What you'll do
- Oversee, advise, and support all parties in the performance of ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews of Outsourcing arrangements, including Third Party engagements.
- Measure performance of outsourced service providers against agreed Service Level Agreements, key performance indicators, and track these metrics on a regular basis while maintaining records of these outsourcing oversight activities.
- Ensure the delivery of accurate and timely assessment reports, trend analysis, and feedback to the Compliance and Risk Committee.
- Support the preparation of Board and Committee materials, including timely assessment reports, trend analysis, feedback, operational MI, and outsourcing oversight reporting.
- Assist in ensuring that third-party risk management and outsourcing policies and procedures adhere to regulatory standards while keeping up to date with changing regulations in relevant jurisdictions and applying this knowledge to the role.
- Coordinate with Compliance, Operational Risk, and internal or external audit to meet group and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the central point of contact for outsourcing-related queries and provide guidance and training on third-party management, outsourcing policy, procedures, and regulations to internal clients and stakeholders.
- Assess proposed new engagements and maintain detailed records of these outsourcing oversight activities, participating in client due diligence, RFPs, or external third-party provider assessments as required.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with strategic suppliers while monitoring vendor performance against negotiated Service Level Agreements and Master Service Agreements.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts by identifying process enhancement opportunities, implementing automation solutions, testing new workflows, and driving operational efficiencies.
- Identify, deploy, and leverage generative AI tools, such as ChatGPT and Claude, to streamline workflows, automate operational processes, and enhance efficiency, decision-making, and scalability across regulatory and commercial initiatives.
- Act as the central point of integration between regulatory strategy and operational execution to ensure cohesive implementation of directives.
- Lead cross-functional working groups, manage dependencies, and drive visibility across leadership on progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Support commercial and product teams in understanding MiCAR constraints and opportunities when designing new offerings to ensure market-ready compliance.
- Deliver strategic updates and performance insights to executives and the board, linking regulatory progress to market positioning and business value.
- Partner closely with the Group's Vendor Management organization to participate in maturing the Vendor Management Program and enhancing third-party oversight capabilities.
Requirements
- Experience supporting or assessing operational control environments relating to technology governance, regulatory compliance, or operational resilience.
- Understanding of EU regulatory frameworks, including Emissions Trading System, Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, MiFID II, Payment Services Directive 2, Anti-Money Laundering Directive 5 and 6, and Digital Operational Resilience Act.
- Deep experience in outsourcing oversight, including vendor assessments, ongoing monitoring, and performance management.
- Strong knowledge of third-party risk management frameworks and regulatory expectations for outsourcing in financial services.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex relationships with external providers and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical controls.
- Strong communication and influencing skills to engage with senior stakeholders and drive alignment on risk and compliance matters.
- Proven track record of working in a regulated environment with a focus on compliance, audit, and risk management.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
