About the role

The Engineering Manager will own the delivery of complex projects, guiding teams through code reviews and mentorship while shaping system design and architecture. This role drives alignment with company standards and ensures career growth for technical staff within a fast-moving environment. The manager will actively contribute to projects while leading a team of technical professionals. You will orchestrate intake of requirements with Strategy and Design teams plus client to clarify scope and effort estimates. You will design system architecture and document diagrams that define technology stack alongside technical director and workstream leads. You will build maintainable, testable solutions in Java with Spring Boot and modern JS frameworks in collaboration with world class engineers. You will review code and mentor staff to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to security and core web standards. You will ship solutions through CI/CD pipelines while managing infrastructure as code and cloud environments on AWS or Google Cloud. You will partner with global clients and internal stakeholders to define requirements and align on project timelines and deliverables. You will guide career development, conduct performance reviews, and provide clear approval pathways for your team.

What you'll do

Reviewing code and mentoring staff to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to security and core web standards. Shipping solutions through CI/CD pipelines while managing infrastructure as code and cloud environments on AWS or Google Cloud. Partnering with global clients and internal stakeholders to define requirements and align on project timelines and deliverables. Guiding career development, conducting performance reviews, and providing clear approval pathways for your team. Identifying technology and project risks early, then discussing mitigation strategies proactively with team members. Exploring new tools and research findings, then sharing insights to improve software development workflows across the group. Communicating clearly and effectively with every member of the team during planning, execution, and retrospectives. Driving the execution of complex projects from initiation through delivery while maintaining alignment with client expectations and internal quality benchmarks. Facilitating technical decision making sessions and ensuring that architectural choices are documented and understood by the entire team. Supporting recruitment and onboarding of engineering talent to build a high performing and resilient team. Monitoring delivery health, tracking milestones, and escalating impediments promptly to keep projects on schedule and within scope. Promoting a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and knowledge sharing to elevate the technical capability of the organization.
Requirements
You bring 5+ years of experience building modern production grade web applications while leading teams and projects. You hold one of these degrees such as B.Tech Computer Science, Computer Application, BE, or Electronics and Communication Engineering. You demonstrate very strong Java skills with hands on experience in Spring Boot or Spring Cloud. You show very strong JS framework skills using React, Angular, or similar technologies in production settings. You have experience working within cloud environments like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure in live products. You practice Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring reliably. You maintain a deep understanding of APIs, data storage, routing, caching, optimization, and security for web apps. You possess fundamental knowledge of HTTP, the DOM, SSL, and web servers that support user facing features. You communicate frequently and clearly with diverse colleagues while valuing an inclusive work culture. You act proactively, delivering high quality work and seeking constant improvement in development processes. You are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic consultancy where priorities may shift frequently and adaptability is essential. You exhibit strong ownership, transparency, and accountability in cross functional collaborations with clients and internal teams.
