About the role
You will own the multi-year technical strategy and roadmap for a critical core platform at Klaviyo, defining how it evolves to meet long-term business needs. You will partner closely with Engineering and Product to prioritize and program manage strategic non-functional programs such as technical debt, capacity planning, and architecture scaling. You will oversee the full lifecycle of platform features from technical design through implementation, establishing predictable development and release processes. You will define clear ways of working, create frameworks for cross-team collaboration, and articulate the platform's enterprise narrative and boundaries. You will serve as the primary communication leader, tailoring information to secure buy-in and consensus across engineering and business leadership. You will drive a mindset of operational excellence, challenging existing processes and implementing solutions that prioritize automation over manual effort.

What you'll do
Define and own the multi-year technical strategy and roadmap for a core platform in partnership with Engineering and Product leadership.
Prioritize and program manage strategic non-functional programs including technical debt reduction, capacity planning, and architecture scaling to ensure system stability.
Oversee the full lifecycle of platform features from technical design through implementation, release, and ongoing optimization.
Establish predictable development and release processes with clear standards for quality, scalability, and reliability.
Create frameworks for cross-team collaboration, including content repositories and defined ways of working for platform teams.
Articulate the platform's enterprise narrative and boundaries to align stakeholders and clarify scope and responsibilities.
Serve as the primary communication leader, translating technical concepts into tailored messages for engineering and business audiences.
Drive a mindset of operational excellence by promoting automation and challenging manual processes where inefficiencies exist.
Work comfortably with ambiguity while building capabilities and solutions during periods of platform evolution.
Ensure alignment between long-term business goals and technical platform investments through continuous oversight and adjustment.
Champion data-informed decision making to guide platform priorities and measure the impact of technical initiatives.
Foster a culture of transparency and collaboration across cross-functional teams working on the platform.
Identify and mitigate technical risks early, proposing scalable solutions that future-proof the platform.
Lead post-mortems and retrospectives to extract learnings and refine program execution over time.
Requirements
Bring 10+ years of experience in technical program management within a fast-paced engineering environment, ideally in SaaS or high-growth tech.
Demonstrate proven ability to successfully manage a perpetual program with a rolling roadmap and evolving priorities.
Show strong project management skills with fluency in tools such as Asana, Jira, Linear, or Smartsheet.
Exhibit the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deliver results across complex, cross-functional programs simultaneously.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, influencing without direct authority.
Thrive in an environment that requires comfort with ambiguity while maintaining focus on long-term platform goals.
Approach problem-solving with an analytical mindset, using data and evidence to guide decisions and trade-offs.
Commit to building inclusive teamwork and collaborating closely with engineering, product, and other stakeholders.
