Klar is seeking a Mid Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Mexico City, CDMX. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing and optimizing our data infrastructure, ensuring that our data pipelines are efficient and reliable. What you'll do

Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines that facilitate the flow of data from various sources to our data warehouse.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and ensure that the data infrastructure supports their analytical requirements.
Optimize existing data processes to improve performance and reduce latency, ensuring that data is readily available for analysis.
Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our data.
Work with cloud technologies to manage and scale our data infrastructure, leveraging platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
Participate in the architecture and design of new data solutions, contributing to the overall data strategy of the organization.
Conduct troubleshooting and debugging of data-related issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
Document data processes and workflows to ensure clarity and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data engineering, applying this knowledge to enhance our data capabilities.
Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure that data governance and compliance standards are met.
Engage in regular communication with stakeholders to provide updates on data projects and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role, with a strong understanding of data architecture and data modeling principles.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, with experience in data manipulation and transformation.
Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including but not limited to PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
Familiarity with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Apache Kafka.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and their data services.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
A proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.

Nice to have

Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
Previous experience in the financial services sector or fintech industry.
Understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices.
