What you'll do
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business strategies and product development.
- Develop and implement machine learning models to enhance predictive capabilities and improve decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and marketing professionals, to understand their data needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Create and maintain dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate findings and insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Conduct A/B testing and other statistical analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of product features and marketing campaigns.
- Design and execute experiments to validate hypotheses and improve existing processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data science methodologies to continuously enhance your skills and contribute to the team's knowledge base.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing best practices and insights.
- Document methodologies and processes to ensure reproducibility and transparency in your work.
- Participate in data governance initiatives to ensure data quality and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Engage with external data sources and APIs to enrich internal datasets and enhance analytical capabilities.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, translating complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, data science, or a related role.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with experience in data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and their practical applications.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar) to create compelling visual narratives.
- Familiarity with SQL and database management systems for data extraction and manipulation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) is a plus.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and methodologies.
Nice to have
- Experience in the fintech industry or a related field.
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) for processing large datasets.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and best practices in data governance.
- Previous experience working in an agile environment.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., Java, Scala) is a bonus.
