What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems that support our financial services applications.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and designers to define and implement new features that enhance user experience.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices in software development.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge with team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments, ensuring high availability and reliability of services.
• Optimize application performance through profiling and tuning of backend systems.
• Implement and maintain APIs that facilitate seamless integration with third-party services and internal systems.
• Participate in the architecture and design discussions, contributing to the overall technical direction of the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on building scalable applications.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go, with a solid understanding of their ecosystems.
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design principles.
• Familiarity with database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL, and experience in optimizing database performance.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes is advantageous.

• Experience in the fintech industry or with financial services applications.
• Familiarity with message brokers and event-driven architectures.
