Klar is seeking a seasoned Sr Business Architect to join our dynamic team in Mexico City, CDMX. This full-time position is pivotal in shaping our strategic initiatives and driving the alignment of business objectives with technology solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business architecture, demonstrating the ability to analyze and improve business processes, and will be instrumental in ensuring that our projects deliver maximum value to our stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document business architecture frameworks that align with Klar's strategic goals.
• Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in operations.
• Develop and maintain business capability models that illustrate the organization's capabilities and how they align with business strategies.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure a shared understanding of business needs.
• Create and manage business process maps, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurately reflect current practices.
• Work closely with IT teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring seamless integration of solutions.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices to inform business architecture strategies and recommend innovative solutions.
• Support project management teams in the execution of initiatives, providing guidance on business architecture principles and practices.
• Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the success of business architecture initiatives and report on progress to senior leadership.
• Mentor and guide junior team members in business architecture methodologies and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Engage with external partners and vendors to evaluate potential solutions that meet business needs and enhance operational capabilities.
• Contribute to the development of a business architecture community of practice within Klar, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business architecture or a related role, preferably within the financial services or fintech industry.
• Proven track record of successfully leading business architecture initiatives that drive organizational change and improve efficiency.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Experience with business process modeling tools and methodologies, such as BPMN or UML.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong project management skills, with experience in Agile methodologies being a significant advantage.

Nice to have

• Certification in business architecture or related fields (e.g., Certified Business Architect).
• Experience with digital transformation initiatives and understanding of emerging technologies in the fintech space.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance issues in the financial services sector.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools to present findings and recommendations effectively.

Practical notes

This position is based in Mexico City, CDMX, and requires the candidate to work full-time within the office environment. The salary is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Mexico, and Klar is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.
