What you'll do

• Provide first-line support for application-related issues, responding promptly to user inquiries and troubleshooting problems as they arise.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve application issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of support requests, resolutions, and system changes to facilitate knowledge sharing and improve support processes.
• Conduct regular system monitoring and performance analysis to proactively identify potential issues before they impact users.
• Assist in the implementation of new applications and system upgrades, ensuring a smooth transition for users.
• Train end-users on application functionalities and best practices, enhancing their ability to utilize the systems effectively.
• Work closely with the IT team to escalate complex issues and collaborate on solutions that enhance system performance and user satisfaction.
• Participate in the development and execution of testing plans for new features and updates, ensuring they meet business requirements and user needs.
• Analyze user feedback and system performance metrics to recommend improvements and optimizations for existing applications.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in application support to continually enhance your skills and contribute to the team's success.
• Provide after-hours support as needed to ensure critical applications remain operational during off-peak hours.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for management, summarizing application performance and user support metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in application support or a similar role, preferably within a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of software applications, databases, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and analytically.
• Proficient in using ticketing systems and support tools to manage user requests effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
• Experience with SQL or other database querying languages is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality support.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
• Experience in a specific industry relevant to Bamboohr's operations, such as construction or real estate.
• Knowledge of programming languages or scripting for automation of routine tasks.
• Certifications in ITIL or other relevant frameworks.
• Previous experience with cloud-based applications and services.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other productivity tools.
• Familiarity with application monitoring tools and performance analysis software.
• Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) principles and practices.

• This position is based in York, Pennsylvania, and may require occasional travel to other Bamboohr locations or client sites.
• The role may involve working outside of standard business hours to accommodate system maintenance or critical issue resolution.
