What you'll do

• Lead and manage the fabrication department, ensuring that all operations align with Bamboohr's strategic objectives and quality standards.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity within the fabrication team.
• Oversee project planning and scheduling, ensuring that all fabrication projects are completed on time and meet customer specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure that all fabrication processes are aligned with project requirements and industry standards.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices, fostering a culture of safety among all team members.
• Manage budgets and financial performance for the fabrication department, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the fabrication process.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of fabrication professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and career growth.
• Analyze production metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the fabrication department, leveraging Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes.
• Prepare and present regular reports on fabrication operations to senior management, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, ensuring that Bamboohr remains competitive in the fabrication market.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial fabrication, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and technologies, including welding, machining, and assembly.
• Proven experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using fabrication management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• A commitment to safety and quality, with a thorough understanding of relevant regulations and standards.
