What you'll do
- Formulate and implement a long-term product vision for both the policy platform and the customer portal, ensuring alignment with Kin's strategic objectives.
- Lead and cultivate a team of product managers, setting high benchmarks for product development excellence and fostering a culture of innovation.
- Make informed decisions regarding the prioritization of foundational platform investments in comparison to customer-facing features, balancing immediate needs with long-term goals.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to establish API strategies and configuration models that facilitate efficient product launches.
- Enhance the customer portal, transforming it into a comprehensive hub for managing various homeownership needs while also promoting new product offerings.
- Work in partnership with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, actuarial, and legal departments, to ensure seamless execution of product initiatives.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to guide adjustments to the product roadmap based on data-driven insights.
- Integrate artificial intelligence-driven workflows and automation into both the platform and customer experiences to improve efficiency and user satisfaction.
Requirements
- A minimum of 12 years of professional experience, with at least 8 years dedicated to software product management.
- At least 3 years of experience in managing and developing product management teams, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- Proven track record of successfully managing both platform/infrastructure products and consumer-facing products.
- Experience with large-scale platform modernization or re-platforming initiatives, showcasing adaptability to change.
- Strong technical acumen to engage in discussions regarding architecture and data models, assessing their downstream impacts effectively.
- Background in Fintech, Insurtech, or financial services, with an understanding of complex pricing, regulatory, and trust issues.
- A history of nurturing and developing product management talent within teams, fostering growth and innovation.

- Familiarity with insurance policy administration systems or consumer financial platforms, providing a competitive edge in understanding industry nuances.
- Experience in building or scaling multi-sided product ecosystems, showcasing versatility in product management.
