Key facts
What you'll do
- Provide first-level technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person, addressing a wide range of IT issues including hardware, software, and network problems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktop and laptop computers, printers, and other peripheral devices to ensure minimal downtime for users.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, ensuring that all devices are up to date with the latest software and security patches.
- Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, ensuring that access rights are correctly assigned and maintained.
- Document all support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system, maintaining accurate records for future reference and analysis.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to identify recurring issues and develop strategies to prevent them from reoccurring.
- Conduct training sessions for employees on new software applications and IT policies, promoting best practices in technology use.
- Participate in IT projects, such as system upgrades and migrations, providing support and expertise throughout the process.
- Monitor network performance and security, responding to alerts and taking proactive measures to mitigate risks.
- Assist in inventory management of IT equipment, ensuring that all assets are tracked and accounted for.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements to enhance the IT support function.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all users feel supported and valued in their interactions with the IT department.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as common software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools, demonstrating the ability to manage and resolve issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues before they escalate.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with Linux operating systems and server administration.
- Knowledge of cloud services, such as AWS or Azure, and their integration into corporate IT environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices for IT service management.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, enhancing your ability to provide exceptional service.

- Proficient in using remote desktop support tools and ticketing systems.
- Familiarity with antivirus and endpoint protection solutions.
- Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity.
- Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
