What you'll do
- Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders and identifying any potential risks or issues that may arise.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports, presentations, and meeting minutes, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and follow-up on action items to ensure accountability and progress.
- Facilitate communication between project teams, clients, and vendors, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring that all parties are informed of project developments.
- Maintain project management tools and software, ensuring that all project data is accurately recorded and easily accessible for team members.
- Support budget management by tracking expenses and assisting in the preparation of financial reports to ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints.
- Conduct research and gather data to support project planning and decision-making processes, providing insights that enhance project outcomes.
- Assist in the onboarding of new team members, providing them with the necessary resources and information to integrate smoothly into the project team.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within project management practices, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and stay updated on industry best practices.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination or a similar role, preferably within the construction or engineering industry.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or Trello.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies and best practices, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within scope.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess project performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Nice to have
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Experience in the construction or engineering sectors, with a solid understanding of industry-specific challenges and requirements.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial management processes related to project execution.
- Knowledge of relevant software tools, such as AutoCAD or other design software, is advantageous.
- Bilingual abilities in Spanish or another language are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse teams and clients.
