What you'll do
- Lead and manage a diverse team of engineers, providing mentorship and guidance to foster professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance, to define project scopes and deliverables.
- Drive the engineering team in the adoption of best practices in software development, including agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Oversee the planning and execution of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while meeting quality standards.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team performance and project success, making adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Facilitate regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions to promote open communication and address any challenges or concerns.
- Act as a liaison between engineering and executive leadership, providing updates on project statuses and team achievements.
- Identify and implement new technologies and tools that can enhance productivity and innovation within the engineering team.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing engineering teams and delivering complex software projects.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, particularly agile and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
