What you'll do

Lead and manage multiple projects from inception through completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors, to define project scope and objectives.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
Facilitate regular project meetings to communicate progress, address challenges, and provide updates to stakeholders.
Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards.
Prepare and present project reports to senior management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring financial accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment.
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies throughout the project.
Mentor and support junior project team members, providing guidance and fostering professional development.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, integrating new knowledge into project management processes.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction or engineering industry.
Proven experience managing projects with budgets exceeding $1 million.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills.
PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.

Nice to have

Experience with sustainable building practices and green project management.
Familiarity with construction contracts and legal requirements.
Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations in Texas.
Experience in managing remote or hybrid project teams.
Multilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, are a plus.

Skills & tools

The successful candidate will be adept in various project management tools and methodologies. Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or Trello is essential for effective project tracking and communication. Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for budgeting and reporting, are also required. The ability to analyze data and generate reports will be crucial for monitoring project performance and making informed decisions.
