What you'll do

• Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to develop comprehensive designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring they meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct detailed site assessments and evaluations to determine the feasibility of proposed projects, including environmental impact studies and cost analyses.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical specifications, and construction documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to gather project requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee the construction phase of projects, ensuring that work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Utilize advanced engineering software and tools to create detailed models and simulations of water and wastewater systems.
• Participate in project meetings and presentations, effectively communicating technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure that Kellerassociates remains at the forefront of water and wastewater engineering practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns, providing guidance and support to foster their professional development.
• Prepare reports and documentation for regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and bids for new projects, showcasing Kellerassociates' capabilities and expertise.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and practices within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering projects.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is required; Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred or must be obtained within a specified timeframe.
• Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes, design principles, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with project management software and tools.
