What you'll do

• Design and develop electrical systems and control strategies for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems into larger engineering projects, providing expertise in control systems and automation.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate the viability of proposed electrical solutions and control systems.
• Create detailed technical documentation, including specifications, schematics, and user manuals, to support project implementation and maintenance.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems to identify and resolve issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project managers and field personnel during the installation and commissioning phases of projects.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering and control technologies, applying this knowledge to improve project outcomes.
• Participate in project meetings and presentations, effectively communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and interns, fostering a collaborative learning environment within the team.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project timelines and budgets, contributing to the overall success of Kellerassociates' projects.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in electrical engineering and control systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on control systems and automation.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software tools for electrical design and simulation (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar).
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Experience with PLC programming and HMI development is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for project site visits and client meetings.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
• Experience with renewable energy systems, such as solar or wind power.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and industrial networking protocols.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices as they pertain to control systems.
• Previous experience in a consulting engineering environment.
