What you'll do
- Lead the planning and execution of water and wastewater projects from inception through completion, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, timeline, and resource allocation, while continuously monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure that all project requirements are met and that innovative solutions are implemented.
- Manage client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for project updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction with project outcomes.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks and ensure successful delivery.
- Prepare and present project proposals, reports, and documentation to clients, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring that all expenditures are tracked and reported accurately, while identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure that Kellerassociates remains at the forefront of water and wastewater management practices.
- Facilitate project meetings, ensuring clear communication and collaboration among all team members and stakeholders.
- Ensure that all project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
- Participate in business development efforts, identifying new opportunities and contributing to proposals for future projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management within the water and wastewater sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of water and wastewater regulations, design standards, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
- Proficient in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly to various stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.

- Experience with sustainable design practices and green infrastructure solutions.
- Familiarity with GIS software and its application in water resource management.
- Previous experience working with government agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Knowledge of funding mechanisms and grant writing for water and wastewater projects.
