What you'll do

• Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all phases from initiation to closure are executed effectively.
• Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project specifications, and establish clear communication channels.
• Monitor project progress and performance, utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess success and identify areas for improvement.
• Facilitate regular project meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and addressing any potential risks or issues that may arise.
• Manage project budgets, ensuring that expenditures remain within approved limits while maximizing resource efficiency.
• Foster a collaborative team environment, mentoring junior project managers and team members to enhance their skills and performance.
• Implement project management best practices and methodologies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and recommend improvements for future projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
• Utilize project management software and tools to streamline processes and enhance communication among team members.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in project management to continuously improve processes and methodologies.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in a technology or consulting environment.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or Trello.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.

Nice to have

• Experience working in an international or multicultural environment.
• Familiarity with budgeting and financial management principles.
• Knowledge of risk management strategies and techniques.
• Experience in change management and organizational development.
• Proficiency in additional languages is a plus, particularly French or Kinyarwanda.
