What you'll do

• Oversee the entire procurement process for pharmaceutical products, from sourcing to delivery, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals, focusing on cost reduction and quality improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, quality assurance, and finance, to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities, reliability, and pricing structures.
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to ensure adherence to quality standards and delivery timelines.
• Manage inventory levels to optimize stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
• Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions that may impact procurement strategies and operations.
• Train and mentor junior procurement staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, specifically within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and supplier management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with procurement software and tools, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
