You treat every video as a strategic asset that must perform and represent the company with precision. What you'll do
Concept and write scripts for long-form and short-form videos that elevate our brand expression across all platforms and marketing materials.
Own projects end-to-end: research and pitch ideas, write scripts, shoot footage (in-studio, on location, or in the field), and edit the final cut.
Collaborate with creative and product teams to translate our latest UI and product releases, market events, and cultural moments into compelling video content.
Plan and run shoots - including scheduling, sourcing locations, coordinating interviews or man-on-the-street segments, and operating camera and audio equipment.
Incorporate motion graphics and visual effects to elevate storytelling, working with designers and animators where needed.
Maintain a consistent brand look and feel across all video content, working within established brand guidelines while finding opportunities to push creative boundaries.
Edit and optimize video content for various platforms including social media, web, paid advertising, and brand campaigns.
Iterate quickly based on feedback while maintaining exceptionally high creative and technical quality.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Develop a deep understanding of Kalshi's products and market narratives to create video stories that resonate with both new and existing users.
Experiment with new video formats and production techniques to keep our visual storytelling fresh and engaging.
Partner with data and editorial teams to identify timely topics that can be brought to life through video.
Monitor video performance and use insights to refine future content strategies and improve storytelling effectiveness.
Represent Kalshi at industry events or internal gatherings where video content creation is discussed or demonstrated.
Requirements
2-10 years of experience in video production, content creation, or a related creative role.
Demonstrated ability to write scripts and treatments that translate an idea into a clear, compelling video.
Hands-on experience shooting video - comfortable running camera, audio, and lighting for interviews, on-location shoots, and man-on-the-street style content.
Strong proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and working knowledge of motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects).
A vision, passion, and endless energy to create fresh, standout video in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional understanding of pacing, storytelling, visual composition, and interviewing or directing on-camera talent or the public.
Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end video production - from concept and script through shoot and final edit.
Proven ability to work with brand guidelines and maintain visual consistency across projects.
Strong attention to detail and a refined creative eye for polished, professional content.
Ability to take direction, incorporate feedback openly, and work collaboratively.

Practical notes
Salary Range: $150,000 to $225,000 annually plus equity and benefits.
Location: New York Office.
