What you will do
You will plan and distribute work for the team, confirming that each member understands priorities and deadlines. Day-to-day accounting duties include processing invoices, entering ledger lines, and handling transfer-related tasks with care. You will monitor open items on customer accounts and explain general ledger accounts when clarification is needed.
The role includes participation in business transitions, with readiness for international travel to support units moving into the Shared Finance Center. You will run both formal and informal meetings, including one-on-one check-ins and recurring team gatherings. Part of the position involves creating and updating role descriptions so that responsibilities stay clear and current.
You will track team performance through key performance indicators and service level agreements, ensuring that targets are met. Internal and external audits will be part of your work, requiring attention to detail and accuracy. You will act as a bridge between departments, making sure information flows smoothly and operations continue without disruption. Constant monitoring of finance rules and guidelines from JYSK Finance is necessary, as these can change frequently.
Identifying process weaknesses and suggesting improvements is expected, along with sharing best practices across the team. You will provide active support to colleagues during high-demand periods and help remove obstacles that slow work down. Developing skills through internal and external training is part of the role, as is coaching others to grow their technical and professional abilities.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. You should have completed leadership training or be prepared to develop management skills further. Current knowledge of accounting rules and tax principles is essential, along with strong proficiency in accounting software and advanced use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
At least one year of prior experience in a similar Team Lead or Process Lead role is needed. Fluency in English at the B2 level is required for effective communication in an international environment, and professional working knowledge of Polish at B2 level or higher is also required.
Additional finance certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or SKwP are viewed positively. Experience with SAP systems and transfer processes is a significant advantage.
