What you'll do

Assist customers on the sales floor by helping them find household products and home furnishings that match their needs.

Restock shelves and display areas with new merchandise, moving items from the warehouse to the correct sections of the store.

Receive and process incoming deliveries, checking each shipment against packing lists and noting any discrepancies or damaged goods.

Keep the warehouse area clean, organized, and ready for daily picking and restocking operations without delay.

Operate the cash register and handle customer payments accurately, including cash, card, and mobile payment methods.

Help set up seasonal displays and promotional arrangements throughout the store to attract shoppers and highlight new products.

Answer customer questions about product features, prices, availability, and any current promotions or discounts running in the store.

Support the team with regular inventory counts and shelf-label updates to ensure pricing and stock information stays accurate.

Keep the sales floor tidy and presentable at all times, including clearing clutter, straightening displays, and wiping surfaces.

Carry out any additional store duties assigned by the shift leader or store manager as needed during each shift.

Requirements

Must be comfortable working in a retail environment on a part-time schedule with a willingness to learn the JYSK product range.

Able to lift and move items of moderate weight as part of regular warehouse and restocking duties throughout the day.

Good command of the Norwegian language for clear customer communication and effective teamwork with other store employees.

Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings, as the store operates on a schedule that covers peak shopping times.

Basic computer skills for operating the point-of-sale system and any inventory management tools used in the store.

A positive and cooperative attitude toward colleagues and customers, with readiness to step in and help wherever needed.

Nice to have
