About the role

We are seeking a motivated, outgoing, and customer-focused individual to join our team at JYSK in Sandefjord as a part-time Sales and Warehouse Associate. In this role, you will be integral in delivering outstanding customer service and contributing to the overall success of the store. You will engage with customers, assist them with their needs, and ensure a pleasant shopping experience.

What you'll do

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
• Provide knowledgeable product recommendations to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
• Accurately and efficiently process sales transactions, ensuring a smooth checkout experience.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor to enhance the shopping environment.
• Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to showcase products effectively.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving goods, stocking shelves, and preparing items for delivery.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and uphold high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Stay informed about product information, promotions, and store policies to provide accurate assistance.
• Exhibit a passion for sales and a drive to achieve results in a competitive retail environment.
• Be flexible and available to work both daytime and evening shifts as required.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and supportive attitude towards customers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with team members and customers.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic math skills and experience with cash handling.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
• Previous experience in retail sales is preferred.
• Knowledge of furniture and home decor is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience in a similar retail environment, especially in sales or customer service roles.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems or retail software.
• A proactive attitude towards learning and personal development within the retail sector.

• Customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
• Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Basic inventory management practices.
• Visual merchandising techniques.
