Job description
About the role
This position centers on owning the top of funnel for a mission-critical healthcare infrastructure company. The hire will architect and refine outbound systems rather than merely executing a static script. They will treat prospecting as a craft that iterates on data and workflow logic. The role demands a systems thinker who builds the machinery for signal-based outreach. Success is defined by the quality of pipeline generated, not by volume metrics. The hire will directly contribute to writing the playbook alongside current sales leadership.

What you'll do
- Architect and iterate on outbound sequences and enrichment workflows within Clay to establish a scalable foundation.
- Identify and act on buying signals such as funding rounds, job postings, product launches, executive movements, and category shifts to inform targeting.
- Research and prioritize accounts against the ideal customer profile to determine the most effective approach for reaching key stakeholders.
- Write compelling outbound copy and run structured experiments testing subject lines, messaging angles, and value propositions specific to the ICP.
- Qualify inbound and outbound prospects to surface genuine intent and efficiently set discovery meetings with the AE team.
- Construct a system for organizing and analyzing prospect data to reveal patterns that improve outreach effectiveness over time.
- Collaborate closely with the current BDRs to codify learnings into evolving targeting logic that scales with GTM expansion.
- Map and navigate the internal workflows of digital health companies to understand pain points and align solutions.

Requirements

- You have built outbound workflows independently, demonstrating ownership beyond execution of existing playbooks.
- You find and adopt tools autonomously, articulating how they improve your effectiveness before being suggested.
- You think in systems, diagnosing failures in outreach and explaining the data-driven adjustments you implement.
- You write with clarity and precision, treating outbound email as a craft where relevance and specificity directly impact response.
- You thrive in ambiguous environments where structure is absent and actively create frameworks to operate within them.
- Prior B2B SaaS or technical product outbound experience is required to understand the sales cycle complexity.
- You are based in the New York City Metro area, aligning with the hybrid work model and company location needs.

- Direct experience with Clay or similar workflow and enrichment platforms for managing outbound operations.
- Exposure to healthcare data standards, interoperability challenges, or compliance considerations relevant to patient data.
- A track record of operating with minimal supervision and taking ownership of undefined problems.
Practical notes

- Two days per week in the co-working space are required for the first three months to align team integration and process calibration.
- Remote work is permitted after the initial three-month period once foundational workflows are established.
