You will act as the operational backbone of the studio, driving consistency, accountability, and excellence across every team function. You will partner directly with ownership to turn strategic priorities into on-the-ground actions that move the business forward. What you'll do
Lead, inspire, and manage a cross-functional team across instructor, studio lead, and sales functions, setting the tone for culture, accountability, and excellence.
Develop and execute strategies to drive employee engagement, retention, and performance, building a team that genuinely loves coming to work and shows up consistently.
Conduct regular one-on-one conversations and team huddles to surface challenges early, celebrate wins, and coach team members toward greater ownership and growth.
Oversee hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development for all studio staff in partnership with ownership to ensure quality and alignment with brand values.
Own daily studio operations end-to-end, from opening procedures to class execution to closing, ensuring every client touchpoint reflects JETSET's standards of service.
Build, document, and continuously refine policies, processes, and workflows that scale as the studio grows, including troubleshooting playbooks for recurring operational scenarios.
Develop and track key performance indicators across client experience, staff performance, and studio efficiency, generating regular reports and translating insights into immediate action.
Maintain studio presentation, equipment readiness, inventory levels, and retail stocking to brand standards at all times, ensuring a polished and professional environment.
Own the studio's revenue performance by setting targets, tracking results, and fostering a sales-positive culture across the entire team through coaching and accountability.
Develop and execute membership sales initiatives, retention campaigns, and client re-engagement strategies to drive consistent growth across all revenue categories.
Coach and support team members on effective sales conversations, objection handling, and client relationship management using the CRM to maximize lifetime value.
Build data-driven reports to monitor sales performance by individual, revenue category, and time period, using these insights to make fast, informed operational decisions.
Ensure every client interaction from first visit to long-term membership is warm, professional, and consistent with the JETSET brand, managing escalations and resolving issues promptly.
Act as an escalation point for client concerns, turning difficult moments into loyalty-building opportunities that deepen engagement and strengthen community presence.
Identify and implement improvements to the client journey that enhance satisfaction, deepen engagement, and grow the studio's presence within the local community.
Serve as the primary operational partner to ownership, providing regular updates, surfacing risks proactively, and translating strategic priorities into actionable plans.
Bring forward innovative ideas, vendor relationships, and operational improvements that drive growth, efficiency, or a better member experience.
Prepare and present performance reports, including P&L awareness, expense management, and payroll efficiency, to support ownership decision-making and long-term planning.
Requirements
5+ years of operations or general management experience, ideally in boutique fitness, hospitality, or a membership model consumer service environment.
Proven track record of leading and developing teams in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment where responsibilities are diverse and constantly evolving.
Strong sales instincts with experience driving revenue targets and coaching others to consistently meet or exceed their goals.
Highly analytical mindset with the ability to build reports, interpret data, and make decisions backed by clear metrics and evidence.
Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities without losing momentum or attention to detail.
Outstanding communicator with a warm, outgoing presence that authentically reflects the JETSET brand in every interaction with clients and team members.
Self-starter who takes initiative, solves problems proactively, and brings a genuine can-do attitude to overcome challenges and seize opportunities.
Passion for health, wellness, and the JETSET Pilates brand, demonstrated by a belief in what the studio stands for and a commitment to its mission.
Nice to have
Experience in a leadership role within a fast-paced, music-driven fitness or hospitality environment where operational excellence and brand consistency are critical.
A background in implementing data-driven initiatives that improved sales, retention, or operational efficiency in a membership-based business.
Familiarity with CRM tools and client journey mapping to enhance retention, engagement, and conversion.
Knowledge of inventory and vendor management best practices as they apply to studio retail and equipment maintenance.
An understanding of how to build community-driven programming that strengthens local engagement and brand loyalty.
Practical notes
This is a full-time role based in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The position requires on-site presence at the studio, as hands-on operational leadership cannot be performed remotely. Travel is not expected as part of this role, and the successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship at this time.
