What you'll do
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of each client's business, including analyzing market trends, competitors, and target audiences to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Act as a strategic partner to clients, providing high-level guidance and insights to help them achieve their business objectives through tailored agency solutions.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews, preparing strategic reports, analyzing performance metrics, and anticipating market changes to proactively adjust strategies and support client growth.
- Foster industry insights and internal innovation by establishing strategic partnerships with major technology companies and industry leaders.
- Collaborate closely with the Managing Director and Project Director to define the strategic and financial terms of proposals, ensuring alignment with client expectations and agency capabilities.
- Lead complex pitches and renewal negotiations, crafting compelling strategic narratives and commercial frameworks that reflect client needs and agency value propositions.
- Oversee growth plans for a portfolio of accounts, including large international clients, ensuring that financial and strategic targets are met or exceeded.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring ongoing satisfaction and retention.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams - Creative, Media, Data, Tech - to ensure strategic directions are executed effectively and efficiently.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in Account Director and Client Management roles, fostering professional development and maintaining a high-level overview of account health and performance.
- Monitor account performance, analyze data, and prepare reports to track progress, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
- Support new business development efforts by identifying opportunities within existing accounts and assisting in the onboarding of new clients.
Requirements
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication skills.
- At least 8 years of experience working within an agency environment, demonstrating a strong track record of managing key accounts and client relationships.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and confidently manage client expectations.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing processes, including integrated campaigns, website development, online media, and social platforms.
- Experience in client retention, growth, and fostering long-term relationships with large accounts.
- Strong negotiation skills, with experience in managing contract discussions and meeting client demands.
- Skilled in budgeting, financial planning, and creating progress reports to track account performance.
- Knowledge of communication research methods and how to leverage insights for strategic planning.
- Ability to think strategically, analyze complex data, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a history of building trust and maintaining long-term client partnerships.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring junior staff and leading cross-functional teams.
