IXL Learning is on the lookout for a dedicated Professional Learning Specialist to drive the effective integration of technology and instructional best practices within educational settings. This role focuses on empowering educators to utilize IXL products effectively through a combination of virtual and face-to-face professional development sessions. You will engage with teachers from various grade levels and districts, aiming to enhance their instructional methods and optimize the use of IXL in their classrooms.

What you'll do

• Serve as a subject matter expert on IXL products, providing customized implementation strategies that cater to the unique needs of educators in their classrooms.
• Collaborate with school and district leaders to plan and deliver both virtual and in-person professional development sessions that promote successful adoption of IXL resources.
• Travel to various schools and districts for in-person training sessions, with travel commitments reaching up to 60% during peak back-to-school periods and approximately 40% for the rest of the year.
• Organize and facilitate regional IXL Live events, working closely with the events team to craft engaging and meaningful experiences for participants.
• Collaborate with the sales team to support schools in piloting IXL products, ensuring a smooth transition and effective usage.
• Partner with customer success and sales teams to foster and expand relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
• Develop and maintain training materials and resources that educators can utilize to enhance their understanding and application of IXL products.
• Collect feedback from educators and stakeholders to continuously improve training sessions and materials, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the educational landscape.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of professional development initiatives, adjusting strategies as necessary to maximize impact.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational trends and best practices related to technology integration in the classroom.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with educators, administrators, and team members to ensure alignment and support throughout the implementation process.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required for this position.
• A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience within a K-12 setting is essential; experience in leadership roles at the department or school level is a plus.
• A strong background in educational professional development is highly preferred.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills are necessary for effectively conveying information to diverse audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and dynamic approach to working with others.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a systematic approach to work tasks and projects.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously, from inception to completion.
• Capable of working independently as well as being an effective team player.
• Proficiency in Google Apps and Zoom is required for this role.
• Candidates must reside near a major airport to facilitate travel requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in the field of educational technology or instructional design would be beneficial.
• Familiarity with data analysis and assessment tools is a plus, as it can enhance the understanding of student performance metrics.
• Previous experience in a similar role or with IXL products would be advantageous.
