This position involves directing professional development initiatives and supporting district implementations across the state of Texas. What you'll do
- Stay informed about statewide educational initiatives, policies, and developments that impact K-12 schools in Texas, ensuring that IXL's implementation strategies and training programs are aligned with current educational standards and initiatives.
- Lead, motivate, and support a small team of district partnership specialists and professional learning specialists, fostering a positive team environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
- Work closely with the sales team to develop and strengthen relationships with districts across Texas, providing support that enhances customer satisfaction and promotes long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with district leaders, administrators, and educators to develop tailored professional development plans that meet their specific needs and objectives for implementing IXL products effectively within their schools.
- Travel extensively within Texas to provide on-site support to districts, conduct professional development sessions, and observe team members' training sessions. The travel requirement can reach up to 60% during the back-to-school season, when districts are most actively implementing new programs, and approximately 40% during other times of the year.
- Regularly observe professional development sessions conducted by team members, providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve delivery and engagement.
- Use data analysis tools to evaluate the effectiveness of professional development initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and inform strategic planning for ongoing support and training.
- Maintain strong communication channels with districts, providing ongoing support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring successful implementation of IXL products.
- Participate in statewide education conferences, workshops, and meetings to stay current with trends and share best practices.
- Contribute to the development of resources, training materials, and documentation to support district implementation and professional learning efforts.
- Serve as a liaison between districts and the broader IXL Learning team, advocating for district needs and providing feedback to improve products and services.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, including ITAR regulations, and uphold IXL Learning's standards for quality and professionalism.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education, administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience leading a professional development team, preferably within an educational setting.
- Background in K-12 teaching, with a solid understanding of classroom practices and educational standards.
- Proven experience managing and motivating a team, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of engaging educators, administrators, and district leaders effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute professional development plans tailored to district needs.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from planning through execution.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and quick to learn new technologies and educational practices.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and use insights to guide decision-making.
- Reside within a reasonable distance to a major airport in Texas to facilitate travel requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, maintaining a positive attitude and a solutions-oriented approach.
