About the role
This position centers on steering the technical direction of cloud and infrastructure initiatives for demanding clients. You will act as a strategic partner, guiding complex digital transformations through resilient architecture and automation. The role requires deep ownership of cloud-native design and the orchestration of cross-functional delivery teams. You will foster a culture where observability, security, and reliability are non-negotiable standards. Your influence will extend across multiple client engagements, ensuring that best practices are consistently applied. You will be instrumental in translating business objectives into robust technical roadmaps. Ultimately, you will help define the technological vision that differentiates IPPON in the market.
What you'll do
- Orchestrate the end-to-end evolution of cloud infrastructures, driving strategic alignment between technical constraints and business goals.
- Champion the adoption of Infrastructure as Code, standardizing provisioning workflows and configuration management across multi-cloud environments.
- Refactor legacy systems into modular, cloud-agnostic solutions that enhance scalability and reduce operational overhead.
- Engineer automated CI/CD pipelines, embedding quality gates and deployment patterns that accelerate release cycles.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting frameworks to ensure system reliability and rapid incident response.
- Conduct in-depth technical audits, identifying risks and opportunities for optimization in security, cost, and performance.
- Mentor junior engineers and architects, elevating the collective capability of delivery teams through coaching and knowledge transfer.
- Forge strong partnerships with product owners and stakeholders to clarify requirements and validate technical approaches.
- Lead proof-of-concept projects that evaluate emerging tools and cloud services for future adoption.
- Champion architectural reviews, ensuring that designs meet non-functional requirements and long-term maintainability.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing post-incident reports and refining operational runbooks.
- Represent IPPON in the broader tech community by contributing insights and learnings from live engagements.
Requirements
- You possess a proven track record of designing and operating large-scale cloud infrastructures over several years.
- You hold expert-level knowledge of at least one major public cloud provider, including networking, compute, storage, and identity services.
- You demonstrate mastery of DevOps toolchains, with fluency in Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and deployment automation.
- You have hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms, particularly Kubernetes, and service mesh implementations.
- You understand distributed system patterns, resilience strategies, and the implications of eventual consistency.
- You are adept at scripting and automation, using languages that enable infrastructure testing and validation.
- You maintain a strong awareness of security principles, ensuring compliance and data protection in cloud deployments.
- You communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, translating complexity into actionable guidance.

Requirements to thrive at IPPON
- You have a confirmed track record of at least 5 years in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and a strong culture of distributed architectures.
- You master DevOps practices: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible...), CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring.
- You are comfortable with network, security, performance issues, and know how to adapt your choices to project constraints.
- You enjoy guiding and transmitting best practices while supporting teams toward greater autonomy.
- You maintain constant vigilance on tools and innovative approaches in the Cloud/DevOps world.
