About the role
The CTO Cloud is a pivotal leader responsible for advancing cloud relevance and defining the strategic direction of Theodo Cloud's offerings. This role owns the benchmarking of cloud architectures including Kubernetes, Terraform, containers, and CI/CD to ensure best practices. The position drives the development of internal enablers such as audit infrastructure frameworks and migration accelerators. The CTO Cloud animates internal cloud communities and formalizes learning around secure by design principles, FinOps, and Infrastructure as Code. This leader acts as the go-to solution architect for cloud sales efforts and participates in critical technical validations. The role involves co-building compelling proposals with sales teams and fostering growth in strategic tech partnerships. Finally, the CTO Cloud communicates cloud value internally to attract top talent and scales the delivery team around cloud opportunities.

What you'll do
Drive the definition and execution of Theodo Cloud's market positioning through in-depth benchmark exercises on Kubernetes, Terraform, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
Architect and deploy internal enablers including automated audit infrastructure frameworks and scalable migration accelerators to reduce client risk.
Champion the technical vision externally by engaging with hyperscalers like AWS, Google Cloud, S3ns, and Scaleway to refine joint offerings.
Cultivate a robust internal cloud community by organizing tech talks, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions that reinforce Theodo Cloud's expertise.
Translate complex cloud concepts into accessible content through blogs, conference talks, and white papers to strengthen market credibility.
Lead the creation of live demonstration scenarios, such as real-time cloud migrations, to showcase technical capabilities to prospects.
Formalize and update secure-by-design, FinOps, and Infrastructure as Code standards to align with evolving industry regulations and client expectations.
Proactively support sales efforts by co-authoring proposals and providing technical validation during client discussions and tender processes.
Champion the acquisition and development of cloud certifications such as ISO 27001 and HDS to reinforce trust with enterprise clients.
Act as a visible representative of Theodo Cloud at industry events, contributing to conferences and thought leadership initiatives.
Establish strong feedback loops with delivery teams to ensure technical proposals remain practical and aligned with client constraints.
Monitor the cloud market landscape to identify emerging technologies and competitive threats that could impact Theodo Cloud's strategy.
Recruit and mentor top cloud engineering talent to ensure Theodo Cloud has the depth needed to execute on ambitious client programs.
Collaborate closely with the Head of Sales to define go-to-market narratives that clearly differentiate Theodo Cloud from traditional integrators.
Support marketing initiatives that enhance Theodo Cloud's visibility through content creation, public speaking, and thought leadership assets.
Requirements
Bring more than 10 years of hands-on experience in technical leadership roles with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure and platform engineering.
Possess significant background in executing critical cloud migrations from on-premise environments to public cloud platforms for large-scale organizations.
Demonstrate a proven track record of operating in business-facing roles such as consulting, ESN environments, or as a CTO/VP Infrastructure with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Show mastery of major cloud ecosystems including AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure, with industry-recognized certifications considered a strong advantage.
Have a history of active participation in major industry events such as KubeCon, DevopsRex, or DevOps Days, including speaking engagements or published content.
Exhibit the ability to communicate complex infrastructure topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through talks, blogs, and white papers.
Display a deep commitment to Theodo Cloud's values of Lean Tech, transparency, and collaborative delivery within cross-functional teams.
Thrive in an environment that requires balancing high-stakes client expectations with strict cost control, resilience, and long-term platform thinking.
Nice to have
Preferred candidates have already contributed to open-source projects related to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, or FinOps tools.
Experience in developing training materials or conducting workshops on cloud best practices is highly valued.
Hands-on background with FinOps tools and cost optimization strategies on public cloud platforms.
Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or HDS is a distinct advantage.
Prior involvement in building or scaling DevOps practices within service-based organizations.
Practical notes
This is a full-time permanent position based in Paris.
The role may require travel to client sites across France and internationally for conferences, workshops, and on-site demonstrations.
