You stand at the vibrant center of Insomnia Cookies, owning the entire guest journey from the moment a customer walks through the door to the final friendly farewell. This role is your stage to actively greet guests, take orders with precision, and deliver warm, personal interactions that define our brand. You will be the hands and heart of the bakery, responsible for baking our signature warm and delicious cookies to order and pairing them with ice cream for an unforgettable experience. Every shift, you ensure that fast, accurate, and friendly delivery of orders keeps our guests coming back for more. You safeguard the financial integrity of the store by handling cash and electronic payments with meticulous accuracy. Beyond the counter, you take ownership of maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment that reflects our high standards. In this position, you are a key driver of guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and the overall success of our new Babylon location.

What you'll do

Promptly greet guests entering the store and take their orders according to procedure with a polished and efficient workflow.

Help customers navigate the menu by explaining items clearly, answering specific clarifying questions, and repeating orders to confirm accuracy every time.

Deliver an exceptional in-person and phone experience by greeting each customer with a warm smile and a friendly, professional tone.

Bake our delicious cookies to a perfect standard and artfully scoop ice cream to create crave-worthy combinations for every guest.

Ensure fast, warm, and correct delivery of drive-thru and other orders by carefully packaging and sending them out without delay.

Handle cash and electronic payments with precision, maintaining a zero-tolerance policy for shortages or overages in the register.

Cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining the bakery floor, equipment, and workstation to uphold the highest health and safety standards.

Follow all company procedures for opening, closing, and shift transitions to ensure a seamless operational handoff.

Support your Cookie Crew teammates across stations to create a cohesive and efficient team dynamic at all times.

Adapt quickly to fluctuating guest volumes while maintaining a calm, organized, and positive demeanor during busy rushes.

Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to ensure product availability aligns with demand throughout your shift.

Uphold all food safety and hygiene protocols rigorously, protecting both our customers and our brand reputation.

Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall success and flexibility of the store.

Act as a brand ambassador by embodying our core values in every interaction, whether in person or over the phone.

Requirements

You must bring at least 6 months of prior experience in a customer service focused role to demonstrate your readiness for this position.

A personable, genuine, and outgoing demeanor is essential for connecting with guests and creating a memorable experience.

You must be deeply customer service focused, consistently striving to exceed guest expectations with every interaction.

Strong communication, organizational, and math skills are required to handle orders, payments, and inventory accurately.

The ability to lift up to 40 lb boxes of product is a necessary physical requirement of the role.

You must be 18 years or older to be employed in this capacity at our bakery.

The schedule demands the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays without exception to meet business needs.

Legal eligibility to work in the United States is mandatory, and you must provide appropriate documentation for verification.

Nice to have

Previous experience in a fast-paced food service environment is preferred to ensure you can thrive under pressure.

Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling will help you integrate quickly into our processes.

An interest in baking or food production is a bonus for those looking to grow within our company.
