What you'll do

• Design, develop, and implement robust trading applications using the MetaTrader 4 platform, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with traders and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for software development.
• Optimize existing trading algorithms and strategies to enhance execution speed and reduce latency, ensuring a seamless trading experience for users.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of trading software to identify and resolve issues, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Monitor and analyze system performance, making recommendations for improvements and implementing necessary changes.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all software development processes, including user manuals and technical specifications.
• Work closely with the IT infrastructure team to ensure the trading platform is integrated with the necessary hardware and network configurations.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in trading technologies and financial markets, applying this knowledge to improve our software solutions.
• Provide technical support and training to internal teams and clients regarding the use of the MT4 platform and associated trading tools.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies within the team.
• Collaborate with other software engineers to design and implement new features that enhance user experience and functionality of the trading platform.
• Assist in the development of APIs and other integration tools to facilitate communication between the trading platform and external systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, specifically with a focus on trading applications or financial software.
• Proficiency in MQL4 programming language, with a strong understanding of the MetaTrader 4 platform.
• Solid experience with object-oriented programming and software design principles.
• Familiarity with financial markets, trading strategies, and risk management principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with other trading platforms, such as MetaTrader 5 or cTrader.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java.
• Familiarity with database management systems and SQL.
• Understanding of network protocols and security measures related to trading systems.
• Previous experience in a financial services or brokerage environment.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in MQL4 and MetaTrader 4 development.

• Knowledge of cloud services and deployment strategies is a plus.
