Senior Manager - Product Strategy & Commercial Finance
Job description
About the role
IFS is making substantial investments in its product offerings, cloud infrastructure, and industrial AI capabilities. As these investments expand, the Finance team is tasked with developing a comprehensive understanding of product economics, which includes profitability, pricing strategies, cost-to-serve metrics, and portfolio returns. This position will play a critical role in establishing this expertise. You will own the development and maintenance of product-level financial statements that provide transparency into revenue, costs, margins, and strategic investments across the enterprise portfolio. You will analyze and build business cases that guide critical decisions regarding the investment, maintenance, redirection, or reduction of funding for product lines and initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with Product leadership and cross-functional partners in Pricing, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to synthesize commercial strategy and financial trade-offs. You will assess pricing structures, packaging options, discounting frameworks, and consumption-based business models to ensure they align with profitability goals. You will formulate the financial perspective on AI usage, including the cost-to-serve and margins associated with specific products and features. You will contribute to ongoing forecasts, scenario analysis, and periodic reviews of the product portfolio to support executive decision-making. You will transform incomplete product and commercial data into comprehensive analyses and actionable recommendations that withstand scrutiny from senior stakeholders.
