About the role
iFIT is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager for a role based in Logan, Utah. This position operates in an onsite/hybrid capacity and focuses on owning the full lifecycle of fitness hardware. The manager will guide concepts from initial design through to production, mentor engineering staff, and shape the overall product direction. Success in this role requires driving execution across multiple programs while balancing innovation with manufacturability. The goal is to lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable experiences that reinforce the iFIT brand. The compensation package for this role is between $130,000.00 and $160,000.00 annually.
The manager will be responsible for designing mechanical systems specifically for fitness hardware. This includes defining appropriate test strategies in partnership with other teams. Establishing new product introduction (NPI) workflows is a core function, involving coordination with vendors and proactive risk resolution to maintain strict schedules. The role requires championing Design for X (DFx) principles and upholding rigorous quality standards. The manager will guide a team through complex development programs, ensuring alignment and progress. A key part of the position involves partnering with contract manufacturers to handle prototyping, validation, and scaling of hardware components. Translating user needs and market insights into precise mechanical requirements and feature decisions is essential. The manager must ensure all documentation, compliance checks, and production releases meet both brand and safety expectations. Leading cross-functional reviews is necessary to align engineering, marketing, and operations on shared objectives. Driving iterative product updates that enhance performance, usability, and long-term brand value is a primary outcome.

- Guide the team through the full product lifecycle from initial concept to end-of-life considerations.
Requirements
- Possess hands-on mechanical engineering experience with a history of managing hardware products from concept to launch.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of new product introduction (NPI) processes and comfort working with suppliers and manufacturing partners.
- Show proven ability to lead engineering teams and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Exhibit strong ownership of roadmaps, timelines, and outcomes while mentoring engineers toward consistently high standards.
- Bring experience in fitness, wearables, or connected exercise equipment sectors to understand industry-specific demands.
- Possess advanced skills in CAD tools, simulation software, and a familiarity with production processes and tooling.
- Adhere to strict quality standards and compliance requirements inherent in consumer fitness hardware.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and proactive problem-solving are essential.
