What you'll do
In this Senior Account Executive role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of key accounts and the development of new business within the UK and Ireland. Your daily activities will focus on identifying, qualifying, and converting sales opportunities while ensuring exceptional client satisfaction. You will be a strategic partner to your clients, utilizing your expertise in HubSpot's portfolio to deliver tangible business value. This role requires diligence, strategic thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Identify and qualify new sales opportunities within the UK and Ireland territories, utilizing strategic outreach and research to build a robust and sustainable sales pipeline.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, conducting thorough discovery and needs analysis, presenting tailored solutions, negotiating terms, and successfully closing deals.
- Develop deep expertise in HubSpot's portfolio of products to effectively articulate value propositions and position solutions against competitive alternatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Marketing and Customer Success, to create and deliver tailored presentations, proposals, and demonstrations that address specific client requirements and pain points.
- Accurately forecast sales performance and meticulously manage your territory to ensure consistent and predictable achievement of quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key strategic accounts, ensuring exceptional customer service, satisfaction, and retention long after the initial sale is closed.
- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to refine sales approaches, adjust strategies, and uncover new growth avenues within existing and potential client bases.
- Partner closely with the Marketing team to align on and execute demand generation initiatives that effectively support your sales efforts and pipeline development in the UKI region.
- Utilize HubSpot CRM and other sales tools meticulously to maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all customer interactions, communications, and sales progressions.
- Mentor and coach junior sales team members, sharing best practices, proven strategies, and insights gained from successful SaaS selling experiences.
Requirements
To be successful in this Senior Account Executive role, you must possess a specific blend of experience, skills, and personal attributes. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of achieving sales excellence in a technology or SaaS environment. You must be comfortable navigating complex sales cycles and building consensus among multiple decision-makers. A strong educational background or equivalent practical experience is essential. Most importantly, you must be legally eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in sales, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in technology, SaaS, or B2B software sales.
- A proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas in previous roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively engage with clients at all organizational levels, from executive stakeholders to end-users.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively within a team-oriented, fast-paced, and high-growth environment.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical work experience is required.
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom is a mandatory requirement for this position.
- A demonstrated history of building long-term, strategic client relationships based on trust, transparency, and consistent value delivery.
- Comfort and experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles where multiple decision-makers are involved.

- Direct experience using HubSpot products, a similar CRM platform, or a deep understanding of CRM software and methodologies.
- Demonstrated familiarity with marketing automation principles and sales enablement strategies within a B2B context.
