We are on the lookout for a Full Stack Engineer with a strong focus on artificial intelligence to develop intelligent systems that will seamlessly integrate into our existing product architecture. Key facts
What you'll do
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable product features that enhance user experience.
- Develop and sustain backend services utilizing Ruby on Rails, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Create dynamic and responsive frontend interfaces using React.js and React Native to deliver a seamless user experience across devices.
- Integrate advanced AI functionalities, including large language models (LLMs), automation agents, and semantic search, into our business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Design and architect systems that merge service-oriented infrastructure with AI components, including orchestration layers and model APIs, to facilitate robust application performance.
- Refactor existing codebases and oversee automated testing and deployment pipelines to maintain high code quality and deployment efficiency.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, including assessments of AI-generated outputs, focusing on security, performance, and maintainability standards.
- Utilize data analytics and experimentation to inform and guide technical decisions, ensuring that our solutions are data-driven.
- Monitor and analyze production systems and AI features using observability tools to ensure optimal performance and quick identification of issues.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software engineering, demonstrating a solid understanding of software development principles.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails in a production environment, showcasing your ability to build and maintain backend services.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with React.js or React Native, with a focus on creating user-friendly interfaces.
- Proven experience in integrating AI features into business workflows, demonstrating an understanding of how AI can enhance operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with designing and managing service-oriented architectures, ensuring scalability and reliability in application design.
- Proficient in working with both relational and non-relational databases, allowing for flexible data management solutions.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as NewRelic, CloudWatch, or Sentry, ensuring that systems are well-monitored and issues can be quickly addressed.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate ambiguous project requirements and balance deterministic systems with probabilistic AI elements, adapting to changing project needs.
Nice to have
- Experience in developing AI copilots or internal automation tools that enhance productivity and streamline processes.
- Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search technologies, contributing to advanced data handling capabilities.
- Exposure to ElasticSearch, enhancing your ability to work with complex search functionalities.
- Experience with React Native, further broadening your frontend development skills.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments, which is beneficial for modern application deployment.
- Knowledge of the Amazon AWS ecosystem, providing an understanding of cloud-based solutions and services.
- A background in small, agile startup environments, which can enhance adaptability and innovation.
- Contributions to open-source projects or personal AI initiatives, showcasing your passion for technology and community involvement.
