About the role
HomeLight is seeking a field-based Business Development Manager to expand our title, escrow, and closing services throughout the Greater Houston area. This position is focused on building partnerships with local real estate agents and brokerages to grow transaction volume and strengthen our market presence. You will own the end-to-end process of identifying, engaging, and converting partner opportunities within your assigned territory. The role requires consistent visibility in the local market to ensure our solutions are top of mind for industry stakeholders. Success in this position will be defined by your ability to translate market knowledge into scalable revenue streams. You will act as a trusted advisor to partners, aligning our services with their business growth objectives while representing the HomeLight brand at community and industry events.

What you'll do
- Manage and grow a portfolio of lenders, brokers, and real estate agents to increase escrow orders and strengthen market penetration.
- Prospect for new business through networking, active local market participation, and targeted outreach to key stakeholders.
- Create and implement a territory strategy to increase sales volume, market reach, and partner adoption across the Greater Houston area.
- Present our closing and title solutions to partners to help them grow their own businesses and improve transaction efficiency.
- Represent the company at community functions, open houses, and industry events to elevate brand awareness and credibility.
- Conduct training sessions and presentations for partners regarding our platform to ensure effective adoption and utilization.
- Work with internal departments to maintain high service standards for clients and address any issues proactively.
- Support local marketing efforts to increase brand recognition and drive partner engagement through localized initiatives.
- Monitor local market shifts and competitor activity to identify opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Develop deep insights into local transaction trends to inform strategic decisions and optimize targeting.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure seamless execution on commitments and uphold delivery excellence.
- Qualify leads to ensure alignment with business objectives and efficient allocation of resources.
- Collaborate with product teams to refine messaging based on field feedback and evolving market needs.
- Track and report on key performance indicators to measure initiative effectiveness and guide continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in sales, relationship management, or business development within a relevant market environment.
- Must reside in the Greater Houston area and maintain a strong local presence to support in-person engagement.
- Demonstrated history of hitting or exceeding sales targets through consistent performance and goal orientation.
- Ability to manage contracts and documentation with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong public speaking and interpersonal communication abilities to engage diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Self-directed work ethic with the ability to operate independently while maintaining alignment with team objectives.
- Professionalism in all interactions with partners and internal stakeholders to uphold brand integrity and trust.
- Willingness to adhere to company policies and ethical standards in all business practices.
