About the role
The Workday Systems Analyst serves as a subject matter expert responsible for owning the configuration and administration of the Workday system across multiple modules. This role requires driving the execution of business process definitions to align with evolving organizational requirements and ensuring ongoing compliance. The individual will evaluate and adapt Workday bi-annual feature releases and AI capabilities to determine applicability and value. They will own the oversight of advanced compensation processes, managing the full lifecycle of merit cycles, bonus plans, and equity programs. Another core responsibility involves managing position management processes to maintain accurate job requisitions, position changes, and organizational hierarchies. The analyst will also develop, deploy, and maintain custom reports that deliver actionable business intelligence. Furthermore, this position requires configuring and managing security roles and permissions to safeguard data integrity and enforce internal policies. Success in this role depends on collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and implement system improvements and enhancements. Finally, the analyst will provide training and support to end-users, empowering them to maximize the effective use of the Workday platform.

What you'll do
- Define and manage business processes within Workday to ensure they meet organizational needs and operational standards.
- Evaluate and adapt Workday bi-annual feature release changes, assessing impact and driving necessary system adjustments.
- Evaluate and adapt Workday AI features, identifying practical applications and integration opportunities within existing workflows.
- Oversee advanced compensation processes, including the administration of merit cycles, bonus plans, and equity plans from design to execution.
- Manage position management processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in handling job requisitions, position changes, and organizational hierarchies.
- Develop and maintain custom reports for business needs, translating requirements into efficient and reusable Workday analytics objects.
- Configure and manage security roles and permissions to ensure data integrity, access control, and compliance with internal policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, IT, and HR to identify, prioritize, and implement system improvements and enhancements.
- Provide training and support to end-users, facilitating adoption and maximizing the effective use of Workday functionality.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and validate system configurations.
- Conduct system testing and quality assurance activities to confirm that configurations and changes perform as expected before production deployment.
- Document system processes, configurations, and procedures to maintain accurate records and support continuity.
- Monitor system performance and data integrity, proactively identifying issues and coordinating resolutions with relevant teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday-related inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and escalating as necessary.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field as a baseline educational qualification.
- Possess 3+ years of professional experience working with Workday, demonstrating hands-on expertise in multiple system areas.
- Bring specific experience in business process definitions within Workday to configure and optimize workflows.
- Demonstrate prior involvement with advanced compensation processes, including merit, bonus, and equity management in Workday.
- Show a track record of managing position management processes, including job requisitions and organizational hierarchies.
- Exhibit proficiency in developing and maintaining custom reports to meet diverse business needs.
- Demonstrate experience in configuring and managing security roles and permissions to ensure data protection and policy compliance.
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities and managing simultaneous tasks with organization.

Given the global nature of our teams, the role may involve occasional late evening meetings to accommodate overlapping time zones with San Francisco, which operates in the Pacific Time Zone.
