Key facts
What you'll do
- Take ownership of comprehensive financial models for various products and business lines, ensuring accurate data collection and sanitization across the organization.
- Design innovative financial frameworks that assist in strategic decision-making across manufacturing, supply chain, facilities, and other operational areas.
- Conduct rapid, preliminary analyses with an "80% fidelity" approach to meet tight deadlines, which will later evolve into more scalable, long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team to provide clarity on manufacturing costs and explore avenues for cost reduction on key initiatives.
- Maintain and update competitive landscape databases and perform target screening to pinpoint emerging opportunities and potential threats.
- Assist in investor relations by preparing executive and board-level materials that effectively communicate financial insights and strategies.
- Work closely with teams in Advanced Development, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Growth to deliver financial support for long-term projects and proposals.
- Engage in continuous learning about corporate ERP and FP&A systems, such as Netsuite, Manufacturo, and Adaptive, to enhance financial operations.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in areas such as corporate finance, investment banking, FP&A, consulting, or similar finance roles within a high-growth hardware or manufacturing startup.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. institution, preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- A strong preference for candidates with experience or a demonstrated interest in the aerospace and defense sector, government contracting, or other highly regulated industries.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create dynamic financial models and perform scenario analyses.
- A proactive attitude towards learning and engaging with corporate ERP and FP&A systems.
- Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a hybrid work setting, collaborating with team members across different continents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with customers, internal engineering and testing teams, and suppliers.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident.

- Familiarity with government contracting processes and regulations.
- Experience in financial modeling specific to the aerospace and defense industries.
- Knowledge of advanced financial analysis techniques and tools.
