About the role
In the position of Engineering Solutions Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing the Siemens Teamcenter environment that supports our Engineering and Manufacturing operations. This role is highly interactive and operational, focusing on various aspects of Teamcenter administration, including workflow support, release management, troubleshooting, and ensuring the integrity of engineering data. You will collaborate closely with multiple teams to maintain the reliability and scalability of Teamcenter as our organization continues to expand. This is an active role that requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

What you'll do
- Oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of Teamcenter, Active Workspace, Dispatcher, and NX managed-mode environments.
- Manage user access, permissions, workflows, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and engineering data throughout the release processes and change control.
- Diagnose platform and integration issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement effective solutions for scalability.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Digital Operations teams to enhance usability and operational efficiency.
- Assist with system upgrades, deployments, validation processes, training, documentation, and integration with ERP, MES, and other enterprise systems.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to strengthen the digital thread and enhance the consistency of engineering data.
- Monitor and improve engineering workflows, ensuring that they align with best practices and operational needs.
- Support the continuous improvement of engineering systems and processes, focusing on scalability and efficiency.
- Engage with users to gather feedback and insights that will drive enhancements in Teamcenter operations.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure the integrity of engineering data and adherence to process standards.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting Siemens Teamcenter within an engineering or manufacturing context.
- Comprehensive understanding of Teamcenter administration, workflows, engineering data structures, release processes, and configuration management principles.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting operational issues related to Teamcenter, including workflows, datasets, BOMs, ownership, access, and data management.
- Familiarity with Siemens NX managed-mode environments and CAD/PLM integrations is essential.
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem resolution.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic engineering environments while maintaining focus on detail and data integrity.
- A commitment to continuous improvement in engineering systems and workflows, with a focus on operational scalability.
Nice to have
- Experience with Teamcenter integrations involving ERP, MES, or enterprise reporting platforms.
- Knowledge of Teamcenter Dispatcher, workflows, engineering release automation, and engineering change processes.
- Familiarity with Teamcenter ITK, APIs, BMIDE, Active Workspace, or customization frameworks.
- Previous experience in aerospace, defense, or complex hardware manufacturing sectors.
- Understanding of SQL, reporting tools, enterprise data environments, or digital thread initiatives.
- Experience in supporting enterprise digital transformation or modernization initiatives in engineering systems.
