What you'll do

• Lead and supervise all aspects of tilt wall construction projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop detailed construction plans and schedules.
• Coordinate daily activities on the job site, including the management of subcontractors and labor crews.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions.
• Manage material procurement and inventory, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available for the project.
• Conduct quality control inspections to verify that work meets industry standards and client expectations.
• Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication among all team members.
• Train and mentor junior staff and laborers, enhancing their skills and knowledge in tilt wall construction.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and incident reports.
• Liaise with clients and architects to address any concerns or modifications required during the construction process.
• Assist in the development of project budgets and timelines, ensuring that projects are completed within financial constraints.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tilt wall construction or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
• OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with concrete mix design and tilt-up panel detailing.
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations specific to South Carolina.
• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a construction environment.
• Knowledge of sustainable building practices and materials.
• Bilingual abilities in Spanish or another language are a plus.
