What you'll do

• Supervise and coordinate daily electrical work activities on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise during the construction process.
• Provide technical guidance and support to electricians and other field personnel, ensuring they have the necessary tools and information to perform their tasks effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily logs, safety reports, and material usage.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in the training and development of junior staff and apprentices, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Ensure that all electrical installations meet local codes, industry standards, and project specifications.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on electrical work progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Implement best practices for electrical work and contribute to the development of standard operating procedures.
• Monitor and manage project costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
• Support the project closeout process, ensuring that all documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction or a related field, with a focus on project supervision.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations.
• Proven experience in managing electrical projects from start to finish, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in using project management software and tools to track progress and manage resources.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Valid electrical license or certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with construction safety practices and regulations.
• A commitment to promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.

Nice to have

• Experience with renewable energy projects, such as solar or wind installations.
• Knowledge of advanced electrical technologies, such as smart grids or energy management systems.
• Previous experience working in a leadership role within a construction or electrical firm.
• Familiarity with Lean construction principles and practices.
• Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, are a plus.
