About the role
As an , you will play a crucial role in the management and execution of construction projects in Raleigh, North Carolina. This position requires a proactive approach to overseeing daily operations on-site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will collaborate closely with the Superintendent and other team members to foster a safe and productive work environment while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.

What you'll do
- Assist the Superintendent in planning and coordinating construction activities, ensuring that all tasks are executed according to project timelines and specifications.
- Monitor daily site operations, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to facilitate timely deliveries and quality workmanship, addressing any issues that may arise promptly.
- Conduct regular inspections of the job site to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, reports, and documentation of any incidents or delays.
- Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers, to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations.
- Assist in the management of project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates on progress, challenges, and solutions to keep all parties informed and engaged.
- Support the training and development of junior staff and laborers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety awareness.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols on-site, conducting regular safety meetings and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Help resolve conflicts and challenges that arise during the construction process, utilizing problem-solving skills to find effective solutions.
- Contribute to the overall success of the project by maintaining a positive attitude and promoting teamwork among all site personnel.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management or a related field, with a focus on commercial or residential projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools, such as Procore, PlanGrid, or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for all personnel.
Nice to have
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with scheduling software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, is a plus.
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations specific to North Carolina or the Southeastern United States.
- Previous experience working with LEED-certified projects or other sustainable building practices is advantageous.
Skills & tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software is a plus.

- This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites within the Raleigh area.
