As a , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing construction projects across the region. Your leadership will ensure that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget. This position requires a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple teams. What you'll do
- Lead and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to establish project timelines and deliverables.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to optimize efficiency.
- Facilitate communication between all stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Prepare and present regular project updates to senior management and clients, highlighting progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
- Mentor and train junior staff and field personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Analyze project performance metrics and provide recommendations for process improvements and cost savings.
- Resolve conflicts and issues that arise on-site, utilizing strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to construction activities.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a related field, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control measures.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
- Proficient in project management software and tools, such as Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
Nice to have
- Experience with sustainable construction practices and green building certifications.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in South Carolina.
- Certification from a recognized professional organization, such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
- Previous experience in a regional or multi-site management role.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or another language is a plus.
