What you'll do

• Lead and supervise multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop project plans and schedules that align with client expectations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize risks and promote a safe working environment for all team members.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including clients, architects, and local authorities, to address any concerns and ensure smooth project execution.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and field personnel, fostering professional development and enhancing team performance.
• Analyze project performance metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepare and present regular project updates to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and strategies for improvement.
• Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality specifications.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure reliable service and support for project needs.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance project delivery and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a related field, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on achieving results and overcoming challenges.
• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in South Carolina is a plus.

Nice to have

• Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar credential is advantageous.
• Experience with sustainable building practices and green construction methods.
• Knowledge of contract negotiation and management processes.
• Previous experience in a regional or multi-site management role.
• Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, can be beneficial for communication with diverse teams and clients.
