What you'll do
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to gather and analyze business requirements for application enhancements and new implementations.
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing business applications to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of business processes, system configurations, and application functionalities to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Act as a liaison between business users and IT teams, facilitating effective communication to ensure that technical solutions meet business needs.
- Participate in the testing and validation of new application features and updates, ensuring they meet quality standards and user expectations.
- Provide training and support to end-users, helping them navigate and utilize business applications effectively.
- Monitor application performance and user feedback, proactively addressing issues and implementing enhancements as necessary.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in business application management, bringing innovative ideas to the team.
- Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets for application-related initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure that applications comply with organizational security policies and standards.
- Support the integration of third-party applications and tools, ensuring seamless connectivity with existing systems.
- Analyze data from business applications to generate insights and reports that inform strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a business analysis or application support role, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate them into technical requirements.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies, with experience in SQL or similar query languages.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# is a plus.
- Experience in a financial services or investment management environment.
- Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous.
