Halter is seeking a talented Sales Engineer to join our Enterprise Sales team, focusing on partnerships with major agricultural businesses in New Zealand and Australia. This position transcends the traditional boundaries of pre-sales engineering, as you will act as a trusted technical advisor to some of the most innovative organizations in the agriculture sector. Your role will involve leveraging both commercial insight and technical knowledge to address intricate operational challenges, thereby enhancing the success of our largest clients.

What you'll do
- Collaborate with Enterprise Sales Managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of each customer's farming operations, strategic goals, and unique challenges.
- Identify value propositions for Halter's solutions and design tailored technical strategies that align with complex enterprise requirements.
- Lead product demonstrations, solution workshops, and technical discovery sessions, establishing yourself as the go-to technical authority during the sales process.
- Engage with a variety of stakeholders, from farm managers to executive boards, to unpack and solve their specific operational issues.
- Act as a liaison between enterprise customers and Halter's Product and Engineering teams, ensuring that customer feedback is integrated into product development.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, and Customer Success teams to ensure execution of customer engagements and successful implementation of solutions.
- Contribute to the development of best practices for enterprise solution engineering, including creating technical playbooks and implementation frameworks that enhance Halter's capabilities.
- Regularly travel across New Zealand and Australia to meet with customers and provide on-site support, ensuring that Halter's solutions are effectively adopted.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a technical pre-sales, solution engineering, or implementation consulting role, ideally within a customer-facing capacity.
- Familiarity with commercial farming systems, particularly in dairy or livestock production, is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences, including both operational staff and senior executives.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a track record of successfully facilitating workshops and influencing key stakeholders.
- A curious mindset with a penchant for systems thinking, allowing you to understand and improve complex business operations.
- High levels of ownership and accountability, with a proactive approach to navigating ambiguity and driving outcomes.
- A collaborative spirit, eager to work alongside Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams to achieve shared goals.
