Grvty is seeking an experienced Software Integration Engineer to support core Intelligence Community missions. You will operate as a cyber professional on the frontlines alongside our cyber adversaries. Your work will directly enable High Performance Computing services that sustain critical IC operations. The role demands precision, discipline, and strict adherence to government standards. You will play a key part in ensuring continuous compute and storage availability for time sensitive missions.

Description of Responsibilities

Software Integration Engineers form the HPC Operations Team and deliver High Performance Computing services across two geographically dispersed areas. These services include multi vendor HPC servers, HPC clusters, and SPD servers. You will manage systems running Red Hat, CentOS, SUSE, and custom vendor specific operating systems. High speed shared storage solutions such as LUSTRE and GPFS will be part of your operational environment. Dedicated high speed low latency network interconnects including Infiniband and Slingshot will fall within your support scope.

The role requires active support for the HPC and ABS ABUNDANTSHIELD high speed shared parallel storage SRE teams. You must follow government designated policies and procedures, including ticket tracking processes, change approvals, and change management processes. Coding specifications and the use of approved base SRE tools are mandatory. Transitioning systems into Operations represents a core function of the team. You will participate in planning, delivery, and integration of new or expanded HPC sustainment capabilities. This work covers HPC systems, servers, cluster and SMP platforms, MPP systems, SPD servers, and parallel file systems. All transition activities must adhere to a specific schedule defined by Government stakeholders.

Required Proficiencies

The position requires customer support for HPC software to ensure High Performance Computers remain operational in production. You will support a range of UNIX, LINUX, Windows Systems, desktop applications, servers, and networks essential to the mission. Specific technical proficiencies expected include Linux Shell scripting, Object Oriented Programming in C, C++, or Java, and Python Programming. You must be capable of working with the GCC compiler and developing multi-threaded software. Experience with parallel processing, CORBA, and J2EE is required. Knowledge of Perl or JavaScript is expected. You should also possess working knowledge of Configuration Management tools and structured troubleshooting skills. System installation and experience with HPC GOTS scheduler and resource management software are essential.

Mandatory Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance is required, and the most recent polygraph must be within the last seven years. You must hold DoD 8570 IAT II level certification. A degree is required, or fifteen years of experience can replace formal education for COTS and GOTS integration work. You must demonstrate ten years of hands on experience installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting Commercial Off The Shelf and Government Off The Shelf software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.

What You Will Use Each Day

Your daily work will involve designing integration touchpoints for HPC clusters, SPD servers, and shared storage environments. You will champion object oriented patterns in C and Java while connecting services to customer workflows. Orchestration of parallel file systems using LUSTRE will sustain performance across dispersed data centers. You will verify configurations in strict order for Red Hat, CentOS, SUSE, and vendor specific OS images. Ticket tracking, change approvals, and coding specifications will be managed inside Government mandated SRE tooling. You will map transition plans for new HPC systems, servers, and parallel file platforms during intake phases. Scripts you build will glue together CORBA and J2EE components while handling multi-threaded workloads. You will maintain ABUNDANTSHIELD storage paths and ensure low latency network integrity for Slingshot fabrics.

Compensation and Location

The compensation for this role is a base salary of 183,000 USD per year. The position is located at Fort Meade, Maryland, United States. It is a Government contract role supporting IC HPC operations.

Nice to Have Qualifications

Experience with Java, Python, Perl, JavaScript, and J2EE components in integration scenarios will be valued. Familiarity with high speed shared storage technologies and configuration management tools is advantageous.
