About the role

Grvty is seeking experienced Systems Administrators to support core Intelligence Community (IC) missions. As a cyber professional in the intelligence community, you will work as part of a team on the frontlines against our cyber adversaries. The role requires a high level of ownership over critical infrastructure that directly enables national security objectives. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of complex computing environments under strict government guidelines. This position demands a proactive approach to system management and a commitment to operational excellence in a sensitive environment. The Systems Administrator will act as a key technical leader for HPC platforms used in vital intelligence workflows. Success in this role is defined by the ability to maintain continuous service and safeguard classified information.

What you'll do

• Architect and sustain High Performance Computing (HPC) services to ensure continuity across two geographically dispersed operational areas.
• Orchestrate the transition of complex HPC systems into live production Operations environments with a focus on integration and delivery.
• Uphold stringent Government policies and procedures to guide the sustainment activities of the HPC and ABS SRE teams.
• Administer and maintain high-speed shared storage solutions such as Lustre and GPFS within the HPC infrastructure.
• Oversee the management of diverse server architectures including cluster, SMP, MPP, and SPD systems.
• Engineer dedicated high-speed, low-latency network interconnects utilizing technologies such as Infiniband and Slingshot.
• Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of a wide spectrum of IT systems across the enterprise.
• Provide advanced problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution beyond Tier 1 and Tier 2 escalations.
• Conduct detailed system capacity analysis and optimization to improve resource utilization and operational efficiency.
• Configure and manage Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems, including the installation and troubleshooting of system software.
• Dispatch and resolve hardware issues while maintaining deep involvement throughout the entire resolution lifecycle.
• Supply in-depth analysis and actionable feedback to agency management and internal customers regarding escalated technical matters.
• Manage the daily operational activities and configuration standards of IT systems to ensure compliance and stability.
• Assist users in accessing and effectively using IT systems to support their intelligence community missions.

Requirements

• Possess an active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance, with the most recent polygraph administered within the last 7 years.
• Hold DoD 8570 IAT II level certification to validate technical proficiency and security knowledge.
• Earn a Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline accompanied by 5 years' experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Alternatively, substitute a Bachelor of Science degree with 10 years' experience as a System Administrator in lieu of the degree requirement.

• Proficient in providing support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Experienced in managing the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Skilled in optimizing system operations and resource utilization, including performing system capacity analysis and planning.
• Adept at providing Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Knowledgeable in configuring and managing Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
• Experienced in installing, loading, and troubleshooting operating system software and network components.
• Capable of providing support for the dispatch system and hardware problems while remaining involved in the resolution process.
• Familiar with high-speed shared parallel storage systems such as ABUNDANTSHIELD.
• Understanding of HPC enhanced sustainment capabilities and their application in Intelligence Community missions.
• Experience working across geographically dispersed organizations and coordinating integration efforts.
• Track record of following Government designated policies and procedures to enhance sustainment responsibilities.
• Ability to perform detailed analysis and deliver feedback to agency management regarding escalated tickets.
• Commitment to improving customer mission operations through proactive system administration.
