Grvty is seeking experienced Systems Administrators to support core Intelligence Community missions. As a cyber professional in the intelligence community, you will work as part of a team on the frontlines against our cyber adversaries. The role requires a high level of ownership over the stability and performance of critical infrastructure that directly enables national security objectives. You will be responsible for ensuring that complex computing environments remain available, secure, and efficient under demanding conditions. This position demands a proactive mindset and the ability to operate effectively within strict regulatory and operational frameworks. What you'll do
Provide High Performance Computing (HPC) services in the form of HPC enhanced sustainment capabilities to two geographically dispersed areas. These capabilities include systems running Red Hat, CentOS, SUSE and custom vendor-specific operating systems, with high-speed shared storage (lustre, and gpfs as examples), along with dedicated high-speed low latency network interconnects like Infiniband and Slingshot. Manage the transition of systems into Operations, working across organizations to provide for planning, delivery, and integration of new or additional HPC sustainment capabilities that include HPC systems, servers (cluster, SMP, MPP and SPD), and parallel file systems. Support The HPC and ABS (ABUNDANTSHIELD high speed shared parallel storage) SRE teams while strictly following Government designated policies and procedures, developed to enhance the teams' ability to perform their sustainment responsibilities and to improve customer mission operations. Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems. Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems. Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning. Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems. Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets. Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configure and manage Linux, Unix, and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware. Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration.
Requirements
Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. Most recent poly in the last 7 years. Possess DoD 8570 IAT II level certification. Hold a B.S. in a technical discipline and 10 years' experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity or 15 years' experience in lieu of a degree. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance with a Polygraph investigation. Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Linux, Unix, and Windows server administration. Show proven ability to manage and maintain high-performance computing environments and parallel file systems. Exhibit strong understanding of storage technologies such as Lustre and GPFS in enterprise settings. Display capability to work with high-speed low latency network interconnects including Infiniband and Slingshot. Demonstrate strict adherence to government policies, procedures, and security protocols. Exhibit strong problem-solving skills for complex server hardware, application, and software integration issues. Provide reliable troubleshooting and detailed analysis for escalated IT incidents. Communicate effectively with agency management and internal customers regarding system status and resolutions. Support the design, implementation, and sustainment of system mission architecture and associated hardware. Operate effectively within Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) interdependencies. Maintain system integrity, availability, and performance standards in support of intelligence community missions.
